Corner News article about the Auburn Brew Club

8-22-2007 Corner News articleA couple of weeks ago, we were emailed by a reporter from the Corner News, an Auburn/Opelika weekly publication with an estimated readership of about 30,000. Thanks to Elana Bahar for the write up. The original answers to Elana’s questions were apparently alot more detailed than she needed, or more likely she was limited to a cetain amount of space. Anyway, you can now see the original Q and As in the About Us page, and the Corner News article here. A couple of points of clarification:

(i) You can get brewed beer anywhere, not just Olde Auburn Ale House… all beer is brewed. Olde Auburn Ale House is simply one of three licensed Brewpubs in Alabama. I think the point about homebrew vs. commercial beers is just that the selection of commercial beer in Alabama is terrible, and many people homebrew to produce better beer and a bigger variety of beer styles than you can find on Alabama shelves.

(ii) There is no charter or anything else that may sound bureaucratic. See the bottom of the Q/As on the About Us page.
