Nov and Dec 2007 Upcoming Events
We had a great meeting last night at Stephen’s. Thanks to everyone who brought the many varieties of homebrews we were able to sample and discuss. Of the Saisons samples, the general consensus was that the 4 homebrewed versions were better than the Saison du Pont, which is remarkable.
For our one confirmed listener, a podcast from the meeting will be posted within the next couple of weeks. We are still in a trial and error mode, and Michael was honest enough to tell us he didn’t like sitting through the podcast part of the meeting, but really enjoyed the remainder of the meeting. So we asked Michael to take creative control over next month’s podcast, and tell us how we should do it differntly, even if that means not doing a podcast at the meeting but rather having a few people get together some other day to sit around a table, drink some beer and talk about a particular issue. That might be a better way of doing it.
Congratulations to Tom Meier for winning 2007 Mid-South Homebrewer of the Year, and the Antioch Sud Suckers, the Nashville area’s coolest homebrew club, for winning 2007 Mid-South Homebrew Club of the Year. Also congratulations to our one confirmed listener, Brant Warren of Huntsville’s Rocket City Brewers, for coming in 2nd place in the Mid-South Homebrewer of the Year contest.
